Directo carries an ITC 214 (International Telecommunications Certificate) granted by the FCC and maintains a concession issued by the IFT (Federal Telecommunications Institute) in Mexico as a national operator.

Meet the talent behind

David Jassan

CEO

David is the President and Founder of Directo. Through the company, David seeks to help Directo’s clients grow by understanding their business models, finding inefficiencies, and generating efficiencies through technology services. Prior to founding Directo, he was a pioneer in the use of VoIP technology in the mid 1990's in North America. By the early 2000's Directo had expanded globally with branches across 14 countries reaching the top 15 list of international outbound voice traffic carriers in the US by 2007.

David is a Harvard alumnus of the Owners/President Management OPM 46, class of 2015. Since 2010, he has been a mentor at Ashoka, an international organization that promotes social entrepreneurship by finding entrepreneurs who aim to transform institutions and cultures worldwide. He currently serves on the board of several Mexican companies across multiple industries: Salud Interactiva (Healthcare), Farma Leal (Healthcare), Mezcal Amores (Beverages),Hotel Escondido (Hospitality), Soldiers' Field Angels Trust (Venture Capital) and Mountain Nazca (Venture Capital).

Francisco Carbia

COO

Francisco has been COO of Directo in Mexico and COO of ComputerTel in the United States since 2017. He is an experienced sales and business development executive with over 25 years in the telecommunications industry. Prior to his current position, he was Vice-President of Sales & Operations at Directo for 5 years.

Throughout his career, Francisco has successfully led ‘commercial and technical operations focused on wholesale and enterprise market segments in companies like Maxcom, Ibasis, and Bestel. Francisco obtained an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Universidad Anáhuac and is an alumnus from IPADE's Business School.

Xavier Perezcano

CFO

Xavier has been the CFO of Directo in Mexico and CFO of ComputerTel in the United States since 2016. Additionally, in his current position, he oversees the Human Resources and Legal departments, as well as the Phillipines Business Unit.

Prior to his current position, Xavier was a partner at qbic Fund, a Venture Capital and Private Equity Fund. He also worked as Strategic Planning Manager at Nestlé where he held senior positions in strategic planning, finance, operations and sales. He has an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Communications from the National University of Mexico (UNAM), and a Master in Science from New York University.

René Brun

VP Wholesale

René has been Vice-President of Wholesale at Directo and ComputerTel since 2021. He oversees all facets of ComputerTel’s and Directo’s voice, SMS/A2P, and DID/TF wholesale service offerings.

René has more than 20 years of telecommunications experience, having started his career at GTE/Verizon, and subsequently managing all global business development efforts at Primus/PTGi. Prior to joining Directo and ComputerTel, René managed and helped grow AMC Telecom, a global communications wholesale company, from a startup to a multi-million-dollar company. René has an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Maryland, and graduated from the George Washington University Communications Engineering Certificate Program, where he specialized in satellite and wireless communications.

Oscar Gutiérrez

NOC & Monitoring Leader

Oscar Gutiérrez has been Project Manager at ComputerTel in the United States since 2019. He is currently overseeing ComputerTel's growth in the US market by increasing interconnection capacity with local carriers. Prior to his current position he was the lead engineer at Directo's operations center in Mexico for over 15 years. Oscar specializes in SIP trunking solutions.

He has an undergraduate degree in computer science and communications from the National University of Mexico (UNAM).
